Physical Fitness is more than Agility: it is having a healthy heart, a strong and enduring muscular system and proper co-ordination of the body system

How do you feel after a hard day's job? The ability of your body to withstand abuse due to excessive physical and mental demands will give you a clue about your degree of fitness.

You have every reason to be fit because a person that's physically fit can withstand fatigue for longer time compared to the unfit one, and he is equally better equipped to tolerate physical stress: he has a strong muscular system that can endure tension forces and his heart is equally stronger and more efficient than that of the physically unfit. A physically fit person is mentally very alert because he is not suffering from any nervous tension.

We have earlier emphasized that to attain sound physical fitness is to build strong muscles through regular exercise. Lack of physical activity or low physical exercise on the part of the unfit person is the reason for his weak stomach muscles which can cause sagging abdomen. These weak stomach muscles allow the internal organs to protrude because the muscles are not strong and tender enough to keep the internal organs in position. On the other hand, backaches has direct correlation with weak back muscles.

You have a big role to play about the proportion of fats and muscles in your body. The reason fat deposits in your body builds up over time is because you eat so much and exercise very little.

The first thing you can do about your physical appearance is to deal with your eating habit. When we eat, the food is used, stored or discarded. The body stores calories as fat. If we consume more calorie and use a fraction of it, The unused calorie is stored in the body in the form of fat.Unlike a fuel tank that can easily overflow when it is full, The human body will always accept any calorie that you sent in and store them. That is the simple reason that makes the body to continue to get bigger and bigger as more and more calories are stored. If you learn to eat based on your body's energy requirement, there will be no excess calorie to store and your body will stop growing unnecessarily out of proportion.

However, dietary control alone will not yield the desired result especially for an already overweight person. The most effective program is a combination of exercise and dietary control programs.

Skin Care Using Exercise and Dieting

The skin is the largest organ in the body and it protects the internal organs and contributes to the way we look and feel about ourselves. It is also the first part of the body that shows the extent the process of aging  has dealt with us..

The state of your skin can reveal the overall condition of your health, and if you want to know how well you take care of your body at a glance, your skin is a kind of mirror that will reflect that. Contrary to the general opinion, an aged look is not inevitable. How healthy your skin is depends on your lifestyle, and what you eat and drink.

To keep a radiant and healthy looking skin, a nutritious diet is very important, particularly those foods that are friendly to the skin. Fruits and vegetables are typical examples of foods that are friendly to the skin. Another way to care for your skin is by taking plenty of water, and by maintaining a reduced intake of alcohol and caffeine.

In addition, you should engage in regular exercise and other physical activities to boost blood circulation, and to initiate the process that will start the renewal of the skin cells. This is a way of maintaining a youthful look and promoting a graceful aging.

Ensure that you have enough sleep and embrace activities that will minimize your exposure to stress. The only time the skin can rest and repair itself is when you are sleeping. Inadequate sleep is an invitation for wrinkles.

Give your skin proper protection from the sun rays. Excessive sunlight can damage the topmost layer of the skin and create wrinkles. Ensure you use sun screen regularly.

Dry skin is usually coarse and brittle, therefore, use a moisturizer to increase the elasticity of your skin's surface. And ensure you use a moisturizer that will promote the health of the skin.

In summary, if you combine healthy lifestyle, proper nutrition and regular physical exercise, you will not only look younger than your real age, but also, you will age gracefully- slowly indeed!

You should deliberately let a 30 minutes daily exercise be your cherished hobby. In addition, building your dieting around carbohydrates foods as well as  keeping your daily intake of saturated fat low should not only be natural to you but an automatic extension of your lifestyle.

The smart thing to do is to adhere to a low calorie plan which is safe, livable, and enjoyable and it should be something that will work for you the rest of your life.By choosing your menu from foods like fruits, vegetables, low fat dairy products, fiber, whole grains, beans and peas, fish, and chicken, which promote healthy heart, and combining it with physical, you are  preparing a solid foundation for a radiant healthy body that will stay with you the rest of your life. Laughter and your Health

There is a popular saying that "laughter is the best medicine." It is a manifestation of joy; an expression of mirth. It's making joyful sounds and movements with the face and body. It 's a demonstration of amusement and contentment. When you rejoice about something, you become exhilarated with lively and pleasurable sensations.

The medical profession has long known the merits that laughter can bring to patients with serious illnesses. Terminally ill patients are often encouraged to watch movies that make them laugh. A glad and rejoicing heart works as a medicine in the body. Laughter can cause the body to produce chemicals that naturally boost the immune system.

Laughter causes the release of endorphin, which are the body's natural pain relief hormones. It relieves tension, anxiety, shame and guilt, and helps one maintain a positive attitude even in negative situations.

In addition, it is able to raise energy levels, thereby completely getting rid of depression. It helps reduce stress that comes in the course of your daily activities. It also improves your emotional and mental health, and ultimately creates a sense of well-being within you.

People laugh for many reasons, but laughing to improve your health is what I am promoting here because it is the key benefit you will get whenever you laugh. Although laughing is a psychological response to humor, you can initiate laughter without the influence of an external agency. The interesting thing here is that whichever way it comes, the benefits are the same.

Dietary Fiber and its benefits

Edible plant fiber is called dietary fiber and they are of two types: the soluble and the insoluble fiber. soluble dietary fiber is a good partner to people who wish to lose weight.

Whole grain fruits and vegetables contain dietary fiber which prevent weight gain. Though the dietary fiber contains calories, the body doesn't digest these calories because our stomach and intestines don't have the proper enzymes to break down the fiber. Therefore these calories pass out of our system as roughage without contributing to gain in body weight. In the actual sense, it provides a sense of fullness without increasing the calories content in our food.

Soluble dietary fiber equally serves as natural lubricant to the intestine and improves the flow of stool elimination. Wheat bran, rice bran and corn bran acts like sponges in the intestinal tract attracting water to the developing fecal matter. The process produce a bucking effect and the result is faster evacuation of stool from the bowel. Eating soluble plant fiber wisely can relieve constipation and bad breath.

Insoluble fiber can improve the normal functions of the intestine and it is very effective in cleansing the colon. It helps to lower the absorption of sugar into the blood and this makes it effective in the control of the blood sugar level. It is very effective in the control of the cholesterol level in the body by binding to cholesterol like a magnet and thus prevent it from being absorbed into the bloodstream. The fiber drags the cholesterol through the intestinal tract and this is eventually excreted.

Natural sources of edible fiber includes: oatmeal, red kidney beans, peas; fruits such as apples, peaches, pears, plums; berries like blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, boysenberries; others are tangerines, oranges, carrots and grapefruits.

By eating more of these edible fibers and at the same time ensuring that your fat consumption is cut down by half, you will gradually shed off excess weight.

PHYSCIAL EXERCISE AND ITS BENEFITS

Physical exercise is any bodily activity that promotes or sustains physical fitness and overall health and well-being.

In an attempt to meet the above needs, different exercise programs were developed. These include flexibility exercise package, aerobic, and anaerobic programs.

The flexibility package deal with the stretching of the body and helps to improve the range of movement of the muscles and joints. Activities like cycling, swimming, walking, skipping, dancing, mowing the lawn, tending the garden, playing football or table tennis are aerobic in form and focuses  on increasing cardiovascular strength and its endurance capabilities. Anaerobic activity such as weight training increases short term muscle strength.

Regular physical exercise has many health benefits. It minimizes tear and wear of the body and helps it to accommodate a lot of bashing without breaking down.

Regular physical activity boosts the immune system and helps the body to build a natural defense against the 'diseases of affluence' such as certain types of cancer, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, Type 2 diabetes and obesity. It is an effective form of prevention and management of the above mentioned diseases.Participation in physical activity enhances mental soundness, promotes positive self-esteem and individual sex appeal or body image and it equally helps to prevent depression as well as the effect of childhood obesity. Active people live longer and feel better. With regular physical exercise, the quantity of triglycerides is trimmed down and the density of lipoprotein is boosted to keep your blood flowing smoothly by lowering the build up of cholesterol (plagues) in your arteries.

When you engage in regular physical exercise, you burn off excess calories and the quantity burned depends on the intensity of the exercise. Interestingly, simple physical activity such as taking the stairs instead of the elevator, taking a walk during your lunch break, doing jumping jack during commercials or taking a 30minutes walk can yield outstanding results.

During physical exercise, sufficient oxygen and nutrients are delivered to your tissues due to improved blood circulation through the heart to your blood vessels. This helps them to work more efficiently so you can do the things you love doing.

Physical exercise relaxes the body and helps you to fall asleep easier and to enjoy a deeper sleep too. However, it is highly recommended that you do not have to exercise too close to your bedtime or else you will be too active to fall asleep. The benefits of a good sleep driven by exercise are enhanced concentration, productivity, and good mood.

Exercise could be used as a stress management tool. It can be used to ease off frustration and anger when life's annoyances builds up. exercise like boxing, martial arts, or weight training can provide an effective means of releasing these negative emotions. The said unhealthy emotions could be turned into motivation for increased health and wellness. Exercise can reduce 'stress hormones' like cortisol and boost endorphin which is your body's 'feel good' chemicals.
Once you are engaged in physical activity, your mind is distracted from problems that gives you stress and it is focused on the activity at hand. For those who are concerned about their appearance and worry about their unhealthy look, regular exercise helps to maintain good weight, tones the body, and assists in the maintenance of a healthy glow and a smile.Since physical activity can often involve others, it is fun fare for friends and family. You can enjoy a double dose of stress relief with the combined merits of exercise and fun with friends.
While stress can lead to illness, illness can cause stress coupled with the physical pain and feeling of isolation. Therefore, enhancing your overall health and longevity with exercise will save you a great deal of stress. It provides you with the strength to cope with the current stress and toughens your body to be able to resist stress development.
