Physical Fitness is more than Agility: it is having a healthy heart, a strong and enduring muscular system and proper co-ordination of the body system

How do you feel after a hard day's job? The ability of your body to withstand abuse due to excessive physical and mental demands will give you a clue about your degree of fitness.

You have every reason to be fit because a person that's physically fit can withstand fatigue for longer time compared to the unfit one, and he is equally better equipped to tolerate physical stress: he has a strong muscular system that can endure tension forces and his heart is equally stronger and more efficient than that of the physically unfit. A physically fit person is mentally very alert because he is not suffering from any nervous tension.

We have earlier emphasized that to attain sound physical fitness is to build strong muscles through regular exercise. Lack of physical activity or low physical exercise on the part of the unfit person is the reason for his weak stomach muscles which can cause sagging abdomen. These weak stomach muscles allow the internal organs to protrude because the muscles are not strong and tender enough to keep the internal organs in position. On the other hand, backaches has direct correlation with weak back muscles.

You have a big role to play about the proportion of fats and muscles in your body. The reason fat deposits in your body builds up over time is because you eat so much and exercise very little.

The first thing you can do about your physical appearance is to deal with your eating habit. When we eat, the food is used, stored or discarded. The body stores calories as fat. If we consume more calorie and use a fraction of it, The unused calorie is stored in the body in the form of fat.Unlike a fuel tank that can easily overflow when it is full, The human body will always accept any calorie that you sent in and store them. That is the simple reason that makes the body to continue to get bigger and bigger as more and more calories are stored. If you learn to eat based on your body's energy requirement, there will be no excess calorie to store and your body will stop growing unnecessarily out of proportion.

However, dietary control alone will not yield the desired result especially for an already overweight person. The most effective program is a combination of exercise and dietary control programs.
